Antique Pennsylvania "Anniversary Golden Veil" Hand-Made Cigar Box — Dovetailed Oak with Brass Latch

The interior lid bears the brand's elegant cartouche reading "ANNIVERSARY Golden Veil — Hand Made" in classic early 20th-century typography. The underside carries the federally required tax stamp markings: "Fact No. 257, 1st Dist of Penna" along with the standard period notice cautioning against reusing the box or its tax stamp under penalty of law.

The box is constructed of solid oak with hand-cut dovetail corners, a finger-grip cut on one side, original brass scrollwork latch, and the warm honey-toned patina that only develops over a century of careful storage. The typography style, dovetailed construction, and standardized federal warning text date this piece to approximately 1910–1940, the heyday of Pennsylvania's cigar industry.
